Learning How to Use CAD Software

I joined the Innov8rz team in March, working in the CAD department. I was new to using and designing things with CAD. At first, using CAD software (Autodesk Fusion 360) seemed like quite a difficult task. There were so many different things you could do and so many things to learn. Over the course of a few weeks, I gradually learned the uses of CAD, and how to make design things using CAD as well. Thanks to the help from the team, now I know a lot more about CAD.

Here’s a tutorial on how to create a nub that we use in our robot design.

Sketch a square

Extrude the sketch

Sketch holes on the nub

Extrude holes into the nub

Apply fillet to the edges
